A longstanding problem I see with Mini-games is that people are more concerned with farming kills than they are winning or losing. This is what I see. Regardless of premades (as the end result is the same whether or not a premade is involved), this is what I see
What we have
- Strong objective based games
- Games that no one is playing
- One team just farming the other team and anyone that comes/goes
I'm 1:1 in mini-games, and every win is the same and every loss is the same.
Every match is the same.
No one is fighting to win a match, no one is even fighting.
There is no struggle, there is no communication, it's all decided in the first 30 sec which team is better and the lesser team immediately backs out because they don't want their K/D to get affected while the only remain are the less aware or concerned about their K/D ratio.
That isn't PvP, that's just an awkward mess.
Focus on kill/death needs to lessen and focus on game goals needs to strengthen.
It's not a huge problem, because to fix it all you need do is;
What we NEED
- Don't reward PvP exp for kills in Mini-games
- Substantially increase PvP exp for winning
(to compensate and give incentive towards the game's goal)
Most importantly;
- PvP kills and deaths not applying to your K/D ratio in Mini-games
Besides the fact that this is unfair to healers, if your team isn't guaranteed to farm, or there is even a slight chance you will get a single death, most players opt to just leave, not release after their first death, or camp risen buff. What ever the case, the end result for every mini game is;
One team gets all the kills, the other gets none.
